About myCocoon

A private companion for the whole journey.

myCocoon is a private AI companion for fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum, built for the iPhone you already carry. It reads the health signals your phone already collects, keeps the week-by-week medical detail straight, and says something only when a change is actually worth your attention. This page is the plain outline: what the app is, who it is for, what is inside it, and where your data goes.

What myCocoon is

myCocoon is an iOS app, built for iOS 26 and later, live on the App Store with users around the world. It reads the health signals already on your iPhone, sleep, resting heart rate, steps, blood pressure, mood, and watches the trend against your own baseline rather than a population average. Most days it says nothing. It speaks up only when several signals shift together, which is what we mean by ambient intelligence: quiet by default, present when it matters.

Alongside that reading of your signals, myCocoon carries the medical detail and the everyday logging a pregnancy actually needs. What is in the app, specifically, is below.

Who it is for

Fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum are one continuous stretch, and myCocoon is built to follow you through all of it on the phone you already own. It is for anyone on that path with an iPhone running iOS 26 or later, wherever you are. The app is free to download, with the AI features available as a subscription.

What is actually in the app

  • Weekly pregnancy milestones built on a 40-week clinical model, with a companion character who narrates them.
  • Ambient intelligence that reads HealthKit signals on your phone and watches them against your own baseline.
  • A kick counter, mood tracking, a journal, bump photos, and appointment tracking.
  • A photo and voice journal, including OCR that reads text off ultrasound scans you add.

HealthKit data lives in a local-only store on your device, kept separate from the store that syncs your journal, photos, and milestones privately through your own iCloud account. That split exists because Apple's HealthKit guidelines forbid storing health data in iCloud. myCocoon follows that rule with a separate on-device store, not just a written policy. The full breakdown of what is stored where is on the privacy page.

How it handles your data

Cloud AI is off by default. While it is off, your health data, journal entries, photos, voice notes, mood, and symptoms all stay on your iPhone or in your own iCloud. We never receive them, and they never reach Google.

If you turn Cloud AI on, that changes for the questions you ask it. Your question goes to Google's Gemini along with a structured summary of your pregnancy: week and trimester, conception method, multiples status, age, blood type, recent symptom names, a mood and sleep summary, and a daily digest of health signals, sleep hours, resting heart rate, steps, activity, calculated on your phone and sent as part of the question. Gemini also runs background Google Search lookups to ground its answers in clinical references. Your journal text, photos, and voice recordings as audio are never part of that, on or off.

A small service we run checks your subscription with Apple and stores only the subscription status, never health data or journal content. Anonymous crash reports and basic usage events go to Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics, both Google services, with nothing from your health data or journal in them. The privacy policy has the full version of all of this.

What myCocoon deliberately does not do

  • No ads, no ad-tracking ID, no data sales, no third-party advertising trackers.
  • No login, no email, no password. Deleting the app removes what is stored in your iCloud with it.
  • No raw HealthKit values in iCloud, ever, following Apple's own rule for health data.
  • No diagnosis, no clinical screening. myCocoon is not a substitute for your midwife, GP, or obstetric team, and nothing in the app is medical advice.

Who builds it

myCocoon is made by a small independent team based in Australia. One inbox handles support, usually with a same-day reply, at support@trymycocoon.com. You can also find us on Instagram.
