About myCocoon

The plain-language terms.

Last updated 2 September 2026

These terms cover your use of myCocoon, the iOS app, and this website. By downloading or using the app, you agree to them. myCocoon is made by a small independent team based in Australia. If anything here is unclear, email support@trymycocoon.com.

Not medical advice

myCocoon gives general information about pregnancy and postpartum. It does not diagnose, treat, or replace a conversation with your doctor, midwife, or another qualified clinician. If something feels wrong, call your care provider or emergency services. Do not delay seeking care because of anything the app says.

Your license to use the app

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use myCocoon on your own iOS devices, for your own pregnancy or postpartum journey. This license does not sell you the app; we keep ownership of it and everything in it, apart from the content you create (journal entries, photos, and similar).

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the app's source code, except where the law gives you that right despite this restriction
  • Use the app to break the law, or to harass, impersonate, or harm another person
  • Interfere with the app's operation, probe its infrastructure, or attempt to access another user's data
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the app or its content

The App Store

You download myCocoon through Apple's App Store, so Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement and the App Store Terms of Service also apply to your use of the app. Where these terms and Apple's conflict on a point Apple's rules require, Apple's terms govern. Payment, refunds, and subscription management for any Premium tier run through Apple, under Apple's own policies.

Cloud AI is optional

Cloud AI is off by default. If you turn it on in Settings, your question and a structured summary of your pregnancy context are sent to Google's Gemini AI to generate a response, as described in the privacy policy. AI-generated answers can be incomplete or wrong. Treat them as a starting point, not medical guidance, and confirm anything important with your care provider.

No warranty

myCocoon is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or accurate. We work to keep the medical information in the app current and well-sourced, but we do not guarantee it is complete or correct for your situation.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, myCocoon and its team are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including decisions made based on information the app shows you. Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, the new version is posted at this URL with the date updated. Continuing to use myCocoon after a change means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, the jurisdiction in which myCocoon is established.
